Last year, on 7th of March 2009, the big family of FM Unpad, joined together in the event “1000 trees action”. This event, also known as “Wali Pohon”, which translates into “Tree Guardians”, took place in Kareumbi Mountain and was facilitated by Wanadri. The “Wali Pohon” event originally was an initiative from Wanadri, and principally was an invitation for everybody to preserve our environment by starting to plant trees. There were approximately 1000 trees planted in Kareumbi Mountain.
The 1000 trees we had planted had a successful rate of 83.92%, with a mean height of 70 cm, however, these numbers are open to development with better techniques developed.
Along with these news, we kindly invites all members of the big family of FM Unpad to go and visit the trees we had planted last year as well as to participate in the second 1000 Trees Action in the upcoming months. For further information, please contact the Deanship Secretariat.
